Keep Your Cooties To Yourself!

Geez so we have been getting up early and getting to the gym.  I think I am amazing if I say so myself for getting to the gym around 5a.m. going to work and getting myself home again.  I remain total toast at the end of the day and my bedtime is quite early - like 9pm now...   I am still the most compliant patient and I have had very few bumps in the road.  If people would keep their cooties to themselves I could continue to breeze along.  Had a little rattling cough around the night of the 22nd, noticed a slight weeze on Wednesday and after getting to work on Thursday had some real sharp pains while trying to take a breath.  First call to the oncology triage nurse gets me an appointment in the afternoon but after the doctor reviews the call, I get a call back saying please come right along.  I got the wheelchair treatment for a trip up to imaging for a stat angio CT.  Just a quick check to make sure I didn't have a pulmonary embolism.  Phew. I didn't know that was what they were initially checking but the whole - can't breath well part - took up my focus.  Bill met me up in imaging and that's not a great way to reconnect during the day giving my favorite guy a startling call.  A batch of antibiotics and lots and lots rest a week later I am feeling better.  I'll get myself in tip top shape for chemo on September 8.  It'll be my next to last one!  Yahoo!  So I'll continue to hand wash and sani-wipe my way along the path to great health.

  1. Hi Tracy! I hope you are getting over your lung infection! Not what you need, huh?! I just caught up on your recent posts and wanted you to know I'm thinking of you and sending prayers up and encouragement your way. You amaze me with your gym and work- makes me tired just thinking of getting up before 5! :) Judy sent down some gummy fish and said you got Parker a fishing vest!?! Awww! Thank you! You're so thoughtful and I can't wait to see it! We are going up to Greenville this weekend to visit so we'll get it then. I'm excited and CJ is jealous! Haha. I'll have to send you a picture of him in it! That will be a great thing for the Grampa-Daddy-Parker fishing trips to come! You're so sweet!
